Job Description

Client – Our client is leading luxury hospitality group of luxury palaces and hotels.

Position: Financial Controller

Experience(No of years) –10+ yrs

Qualification –Qualified CA

Location – Trivandrum(Kerala)

Key Responsibilities:

> Strategic Financial Planning: Managing finance functions involving determining financial objectives and designing & implementing systems, policies & procedures to facilitate internal financial controls.

Contributions in formulating business plans / strategies for maximizing profitability & revenue generation & realize organizational goals.

> Accounts: Designing and implementing systems & procedures to facilitate preparation of financial statements in compliance with time & accuracy norms.

Establishing the mechanism to ensure timely receipts from Customers and payments to vendors and their reconciliation and confirmations at regular intervals.

Handling Consolidation and finalization of the books of accounts of Hotels Division on a quarterly and annual basis.

> Budgeting/Costing: Formulating budgets and conducting variance analysis to determine difference between projected & actual results and implementing corrective actions position.

Establishing strategic Cost management System for monitoring various overheads and devising product costing techniques

> Auditing/Taxation: Preparing tax plans and ensuring timely assessment and filing of Direct & Indirect tax viz. Service tax, VAT returns including TDS returns in compliance with statutory tax laws.

Conducting various audits for evaluating internal control systems / procedures with a view to highlight the shortcomings and implementing necessary recommendations.

> Statutory Compliance: Interfacing with taxation authorities for timely filing of TDS, Service Tax ,VAT Income Tax assessments, and filing of various Forms, Returns etc. required under various Statutes.

Ensuring adherence to Tax Laws & preparation of returns & forms under various Tax Laws.
> MIS: Ensuring development and presentation of MIS reports to provide feedback to top management on financial performance, viz. Sales, Profitability, Investments, Analysis of Raw Material Consumption, financial   ratios, Budget V/s Actual results,
